Day 3 GALLE - PINNAWELA - KANDY - APPROX 05 ½ HOURS DRIVE

After Breakfast proceed to Kandy, En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Providing a caring home for abandoned and wounded elephants, it is a much-loved destination for tourists and locals alike. Here, adults and baby elephants from around Sri Lanka thrive, and a captive breeding program is proving to be highly successful. The feeding and bathing times are generally the ideal times to visit when you can observe these gentle giants at their best.

Further you can also visit to a Tea Factory - Visiting a Sri Lanka tea factory enables you to see, smell, taste and touch the tea at every stage of the production process, and get an understanding of why certain teas taste as they do.

Day 4 KANDY

After Breakfast Kandy sightseeing.

Visit to Temple of tooth - The Temple of the Tooth or Dalada Maligawa is believed to house the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha.

Visit to Royal Botanical Garden- Peradeniya 147 acres in extent. There are more than 5000 species of trees and plants.

Visit a Gem Museum - A Gem museum where you will learn about the gem industry in Sri Lanka through an informative film, see a mock-up of a gem pit where you get the hang of traditional gem mining, and visit a gem and jewellery gallery

Day 5 KANDY - SIGIRIYA - APPROX 3 HRS

After Breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. En route visit to a Spice Garden.

Evening set off to discover the 8th wonder of the world - the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Dating back to the 5th Century A.D, this astounding city on the summit of a high outcrop was the royal citadel of King Kassapa for over 18 years. A miraculous feat of artistry and engineering, its unique features and exquisite frescoes continue to amaze all who visit it, even today.

Day 6 SIGIRIYA - POLONNARUWA - APPROX 01 HR PER WAY

After Breakfast excursion to Polonnaruwa which is located at a distance of 216 km from Colombo was the capital of Sri Lanka in medieval times. Used by the Sri Lankan kings as a country residence from the 7th century, Polonnaruwa became Sri Lankas capital in the 11th century A D. During its time the city was fortified with three concentric walls, beautiful with parksand gardens and sanctified by many a shrine and sacred places. The city and the surrounding area were watered by a unique irrigational complex known as the Sea of Parakrama (Parakrama Samudra).

Afternoon enjoy an exciting safari at Minneriya National Park where you can watch elephants in their rightful home - in the wilds. One of the most spectacular wildlife events in Sri Lanka is The Gathering, where hundreds of elephants arrive by the herd from the surrounding areas to the Minneriya reservoir. As the water level recedes at the height of the dry season, they gather to feast on the lush grass, and quench their thirst for water and play.

Day 7 SIGIRIYA -COLOMBO - APPROX 05 HRS DRIVE

Visit Dehiwala Zoo - National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka founded in 1936. Its sprawling areas are host to a variety of animals and birds. The zoo exhibits animals but also places an emphasis on animal conservation and welfare, and education
