YALA

The Yala National Park is an exiing wildlife sanctuary, which retains its natural forest atmosphere. On a drive through gravel paths deep into the lake-dotted wilderness, herds of elephants as well as leopard, sambhur, deer, sloth bear, monkeys, wild buffaloes, ant-eaters and numerous varieties of birds such as golden oriole, peacock, paradise fly-catcher and painted stork are encountered.
